Such fluff. An incredibly annoying and immature protagonist and unrealistic crazy plot. And the narrator was subpar.

This was a good book and I really liked reading it just not the *best* so 2 stars lol

This was a fun book. I couldn't shake the feeling of "just forgive yourself. You were a kid" but there you have it - there needed to be a conflict.
Totally enjoyable read

Audio. Not particularly memorable, but it was a good read.

too romancey, not enough family dynamic or what it really describes the plot like on the back. also the resolution was weirdly fast

Very cheesy book that I found entertaining enough at first, but as the story went on the characters started to feel like predictable caricatures and I got annoyed by how poorly researched this book seems to be - in particular, I picked up on how wrong details about research careers and labs were but I imagine it was equally off about mortuary science when the sister came home covered in human remains for some odd reason. Also, this book is a missed opportunity to engage with topics around substance abuse and incarceration. Between the smut dreams and the poorly done accent in the audiobook, I regret I read as far as I did...

I enjoyed this book, but I have a problem with Natalie continually believing that she is the reason her siblings went to prison. Somewhere her siblings should have owned up to their own responsibility and directly said, “ Natalie it is not your fault.”

Meh.
