I listened to this book during my training runs. It's a great story with really great characters. Kept me so interested that eventually I started listening around the house. Can't wait to 'read' another of her books.
I really enjoyed this book. It was simple, yet riveting at the same time. I couldn't tear my eyes away. The characters felt whole to me instead of just loosely created. Yeah, there are lots of books out there about road trips or dysfunctional families or poor hard working families or kids that have a hard time "fitting in" or dogs that end up heroes, but I've never read a story quite like this one.
It’s just not fun to read. We get it, you’re proud and poor. The characters, except the kids, aren’t very likable. The romance comes out of nowhere and isn’t really wowing.

I found myself in need of an audio book to listen to this weekend and decided on this one that has been on the TBR for years. I loved it!
I loved the quirky cast of characters and the storytelling. The audio was fantastic as well. Besides the Me Before You series, I have not read any other Jojo Moyes book, until now. I don't know why I have waited so long, because she sure can write a story! I found this very refreshing and fun. Definitely a good choice to pick up when you are looking for something light that still has substance.

Ihan mahtava ja ihana kirja. Hurjan hyvin hän kirjoittaa ja tempaa mukaansa. Tässäkin kirjassa aika traaginen ihmiskohtalo, joka törmää toiseen ihmiskohtaloon ja näiden törmäyksestä ei voi olla syntymättä jotain uutta ja ja jotain ihan muuta. Mutta tietenkään asiat eivät ole yksiselitteisiä tai helppoja ja aika monia mutkia on matkassa ennenkuin kuviot alkavat selvitä. Suosittelen eskapismin ja romantiikan ja ihmiskohtaloiden ystäville.
I loved spending time in the company of these characters, even Norman the dog! Jojo Moyes writes such wonderful dialogue which had me laughing out loud at times. This is an enjoyable and uplifting read. Just what I needed!
