Candy for the brain. Easy read, interesting characters, completely unrealistic plot, happy ending.
3,5/5

Cute story. A little hard to get into in the beginning, but definitely picked up along the way. I liked Me Before You & this one was just as entertaining.
I love when I finish a book so quickly because it draws me back to it at every free moment I can find. :) I really enjoyed this book and expect I'll be reading more of Jojo Moyes' books soon.
Not as good as Me before You or The Girl you left behind. It sometimes felt like a bit of a struggle to read but I'm not sure if that's because of me or the book
Someone said all romance stories follow the same pattern, come together, pull apart, come together, pull apart, repeat. Sometimes when Mary and I are watching a Rom-Com movie, we'll whisper to each other, "Come together, pull apart." It's not giving much away to say that Moyes' latest book follows this pattern with absolute wet-hanky perfection. Both Mary and I cried reading this book. Don't worry, it's Jojo Moyes, so she ties it all up with a bow in the oh-so-satisfying ending. Great characters, great quirky story, what more can you ask for? Come together, pull apart...
I liked it quite a bit, although I still think Me Before You is her best. (And there's enough sex in it that I'd be hesitant to recommend it across the board).
Via Audio. Had this for awhile. Why did I wait so long? Is it the cover or the start of the book?
Sneaky little surprise. I love Brit Lit. I love the humor and the peculiar but expressive slang. But what I love more are books that have alot to say about society without cramming it down your throat. Instead, they just present the facts and push them to the brink and let the numbers add up as they may.
Meet Jess, a hard working mom of a blended family of two kids whose husband is an absentee dead beat. Meet Ed who is a Geek-illionaire who made a snap decision out of desperation that he now can't bear to share with his ailing father. Throw into the mix a goth boy, a math girl, a rescue dog, and a number of desperate situations, and you get a page turner.
At the heart of the story is the famous parable of the different degrees of forgiveness. I'm not spoiling anything by telling you this, it's obvious from the beginning. What's not obvious is how it will all unfold. What was not obvious to me was how often this book would tug at my heart, and not in the just typical romantic comedy way.
Take all of this and add in a writer who knows the craft, and you get a darn good book with staying power. So get past the title and the cover and get busy reading it. You won't regret it.
