We are getting into the Wild World’s next generation in this book and woooooooo this was a doooooozy!!!
As per usual there are SERIOUS taboo things in this book and if that is NOT your jam then move on along this will not be anything you’re interested in.
If you’re still here awesome! This was such an amazing start to the new generations story and holy crap!! That ending?? I’m STILL reeling from it!!
.
It is so difficult to write a very detailed review without giving away spoilers so I try and stick to the heart of the books which in this case in The Untamed is all about as usual heart and love.
The bonds of Family and the never ending love and commitment they have to one another is showcased here beautifully. Some might say that the kids are too codependent on one another and I could kind of see that however, when you live such a different life than the rest of society those bonds are stronger.
I’ll be honest I was not the biggest fan of Ronan in this story because he seemed to not fit into the BIG picture as well as Reagan and Ryder but his part in the story was also interesting to read and see the reactions of all involved.
There were some things that I was suspicious of from the jump and wasn’t too shocked when they came to pass but also wasn’t expecting that ending so yeah it’s a whirlwind and buckle up b/c it’s a wild ride!
Cannot wait for the next in the series!!!!

SUMMARY: (SPOILER WARNING)
Reed and Devon (from The Wild) have built a life for themselves in the Alaskan wilderness. They have eight kids ranging from ages one to twenty-two, and life is pretty good.
But life is getting confusing for some of the older kids: Ronan (19), Ryder (18), and Raegan (17). They are very close. So close that their parents are beginning to worry about their feelings being inappropriate. But they haven't been...until lately.
All of that drama seems to pale in comparison though to the latest danger to come to their doorstep. A large group of people who supposedly need their help have been found wandering their property. At first they are leery of them, but they grow to trust them enough to help them. Much to their detriment...

REVIEW:
This was intense!
I always wondered about Reed and Devon's kids. I mean, there is a certain appeal to being alone in the wilderness without the chaos of the world. But what about the kids who have budding hormones and only their siblings as a frame of reference? It makes you wonder how things would go years down the road.
Well this book answers some of those questions. Things are indeed very confusing for some of their children. Their feelings for one another are growing to be more than is appropriate for siblings. But at the same time their bond with each other is sweet and special too.
The newcomers...man do I hate them. From the start they were VERY suss and I was a little upset with Raegan (and even Ronan to a smaller degree) for being so trusting. But the truth is they're just so sheltered and don't really understand that people can appear nice but have cruel motives. Ryder had it right though and I bet they're wishing they listened to him!
Ronan and Ryder were my favorite. They are so sweet and confused. The moment between them in the tent was sexy but also so sweet and heartwarming (in a taboo twisted way of course).
I do like Raegan okay. But she's also just very naive and hardheaded. So she gets herself into a lot of bad situations because of her naivety.
This leaves off with a big cliffhanger so I'll be diving right into the next one. I'm ready to see Daddy Reed and his boys fuck some shit up! Go get em'!
P.S. Speaking of Daddy Reed...he's still so hot! I love his dominance and authority. Mmm...

This emotional, captivating, suspenseful, and engaging journey is set in the Alaskan wilderness, where a close family finds safety and love away from the violent outside world. Intruders disrupt their secluded life, leading to chaos and complex feelings among the siblings. The slow-burn taboo romance development surprised me but allowed for profound character growth. The dynamics between Ronan, Ryder, and Raegan are beautifully depicted, showcasing their strong bond and forbidden desires. Though some elements may not appeal to all, I admired the well-crafted narrative and immersive world-building. The cliffhanger ending leaves me eagerly anticipating what's next.

Holy fuck… what did I just read!?
This was full of angst, drama and betrayal. I ate it up. This is probably one of Webster’s best books I have read so far.

Woooooow! I was not prepared for this book! I’m so happy to be back in the Wild World. This was a VERY slow burn and for good reason. There’s a lot of build up in this book. I didn’t even realize the next book would be the same MCs! I like Ryder a lot! Reagan is a little immature but I totally get her attitude cause momma is very very strict with her. Ronan is so sweet but so naive at the same time. Which makes sense because the Jamison family doesn’t have a lot of experience with people. I knew the other people who showed up in the wilderness would be bad news. What group of people that large just decide to up and move out into the wilderness?! And without means of survival?! Reagan and Ronan are too excited about the newcomers but no one else really is. Of course Daddy Reed and Devon can’t just leave them out to suffer when they do need legitimate help. The Jamison’s are a great family and I’m so happy to be back with them but HOLY COW that ending. WHAT. A. CLIFFHANGER. I hated it. Lol. I’m also on the edge of my seat dying for the next book! I HAVE to know what happens. I don’t want to spoil it for anyone but I was NOT expecting that to happen. And I’m actually really really sad about it. On another note, I love Rowdy! He’s so mysterious and I can’t wait to hear what happened when he spent time in town. Why did he come back home different? Why is he so reserved?! I love how protective he is with Destiny. She’s so sweet and I love how everyone treats her like she’s so special. I know her eyesight is an issue, especially out in the wilderness and I love how the family makes her feel needed and important regardless. I can’t wait for the next book!!
