For most of this book, I liked it, but I didn't love it the same way I loved You've Reached Sam. However, a big plot twist toward the end really shifted my perspective. Overall, I really enjoyed it.
I went into this expecting a light romance… man, was I wrong. That’s what you get though, for not reading the blurb. This is a story about love and grappling with the acceptance of losing people close to you. I broke down in tears in the last quarter of the book, so I’m going to give this 5*, cause damn was that a good plot twist.

Beautiful story of denial, grief, and loneliness. I really related to Eric's feelings of uncertainty and talent for making mistakes at that age, and since I basically cried, I decided to round up my rating. I will say though that there were some questionable parts for me. For one, Haru seemed strange, which I guess I will just accept it's because he's a figment of Eric's imagination. Although sometimes these scenes were a little light on the magical and heavy on the realism. I also thought that while the content makes it YA, the writing style could have been for a much younger audience

Just wasn't what I expected thought the oo is Haru real? What's going on? Would be a lot more of the book. Felt it got very sidetracked and just all over the place. Found myself getting quite bored at times.
