Eric went through so much and at parts I felt like it was too much but finishing the story made me realize it was a chain of events leading to a breaking point. And that realization has made me look at what he went through in a different light.
From that scene of him and Jasmine on the bench to the end of the book it made me understand that in life we go through things and sometimes it truly feels like it’s one thing after another. But eventually we all have that breaking point and it’s what we choose to do that matters.
I especially love the time jump and extra scene at the end because sometimes the universe really does work in our favor. And things may happen when you least expect it.
Overall this book was beautiful although very emotional.

I have to say, it was a bit of a let-down after You’ve Reached Sam. I didn’t cry as I expected. A good amount of the story was confusing and felt like it was all over the place.
I think it was a great plot twist that Jasmine was actually gone. That part squeezed my heart. It’s kinda sad if you think about it though, how hurt a person could be to imagine people are there when they’re not.
The last few pages were what really hurt. Poor Eric has gone through so much!
The ending with Haru though! I’m so glad they found their way to each other again.
I agree with @doctorbibbly 's review.
I'm not sure how to rate this book.
It was a bit all over the place which I guess was on purpose.
It was deeper than I thought and showed how Eric coped withhis loss of two people, which is kind of a spoiler since it only becomes clear at the end. However, I do feel like he had some kind of mental illness that I feel like he should have gotten more help for/ that should have been addressed more.
On the other hand there were cute and heartfelt moments.

I'm really sad because I enjoyed You've Reached Sam by Dustin Thao - and I expected this one to be just as good but.. it felt jumbled. Like there was certainly a plot there but it just felt like someone trying to rip off a bandaid as fast as possible, you know what I mean? I don't know. It was okay.
