really enjoyed this one !!! I can't say I didn't see the plot twist coming (I was screaming almost aloud at some of the assumptions they made) but that was almost more thrilling ?? brilliant supporting characters, fun romance subplots, and overall a lovely romp in the countryside. top tier.

Perfectly enjoyable audiobook. Fast-paced and pleasant. But nothing super amazing.

A good time had by all. Felt like I was vacationing in the countryside along with the protagonists. A nice change of pace to switch locations for the third book in the series. There's something reliably pleasant about a series you know you can return to that will consistently have as much amiable footling about and bantering as it will involve investigating a murder mystery.
⚠️Period typical xenophobia, suicide
