Yikes. Touch and go multiple times throughout, and then things got… unhinged at the end in a very uncomfy way: kink play got thrown in there with the DDLG??? Black Mirror-esque with a sprinkle of Handmaid’s Tale (which got a nod at the end when Atwood was mentioned). 

Predictable: you think one person is behind it, and then consider someone else is.

It’s both of them.

The ending was such a cliff drop. It felt like she wrote the entire book then just gave up and decided to be done and push out three more pages and called it quits before sending it off to her publisher.

Note: lots of trigger warnings added. Reader beware.

3 Sterne als Science Fiction, 5 Sterne als Psycho-Thriller. Nun bin ich aber SF-Fan, als solcher ist mir das alles eine Nummer zu krass, und es gibt entschieden zu viele Leichen. Das Buch braucht etwas Anlauf, bis sich durch die Rückblenden allmählich ein Bild ergibt. Kein schönes Bild, aber ein interessantes.
