A clamly dull but sparklingly brilliant whirlwind of emotions through the 1920's in New York. It is well written and reads like The Great Gatsby mixed with The Bell Jar.

This was an interesting read to get a little insight of the life of a divorcee in the 1920s. I loved our main character, I loved the female friendships in this book, and I really loved the story with Noel and his wife. I thought Pat was such a good person even though she was thrown some curveballs. Very enjoyable. Mild language, no spice.

such good writing and extremely contemporary. It shocked me that it was written in the 20s because it sounded sooo much like today. I loved the complexity of relationships and Pat’s relationship with herself. Underlined so much
