Peter Rabbit is a curious, intelligent, and determined rabbit. He is your typical underdog, more precisely, underrabbit. Did I mention he is stubborn, too?
Peter often challenges his mother regarding the dos and don'ts of safe behaviours for rabbits. Children and adults will enjoy the fast-paced and humorous plotline. Peter’s story illustrates the animals' ongoing struggle for survival and their complex coexistence with humans in the Lake District, England.
I believe that Peter Rabbit is a powerful role model for young children. Through Peter’s views and actions, Potter explores the significance of self-belief and the courage to venture beyond the unknown to reach one's goals. In Peter's case, his goal was not only to steal vegetables from Mr McGregor's garden but to torment the old man for his cruelty toward Peter's father, which adds an extra layer of complexity to the narrative.

It doesn't matter how often I read this story; I’m drawn to Peter's mischievous nature and his love for life beyond the family's burrow. :)

Super cute.

The Tale of Peter Rabbit (Xist Illustrated Children's Classics)
Classic tale of Peter Rabbit and his bunny family. He wants what is in the farmer's garden
although his mother has warned him never to go near it. He can not resist and he gets caught....
Great photos and story.

I chose to read this book as it is amongst the top rated free books Apple Store is offering. Even at this age, I enjoy children books from time to time, just for the sake of remembering the old times... All I can say is that "The Tale of Peter Rabbit" is a nice, cute, quick-read and a child will surely have a lot to learn from it, the most important thing being that he or she should listen to his or her parents so as not to suffer from the conseqences of misbehaviour. And not to mention having to drink tea when your siblings are enjoying special treats for the dinner. :)
