i’ve never read a philosophy-based book like this before. i can’t say it changed my perspective, but i spelled out how i feel about Takers so succinctly that it felt like i was reading my thoughts in conversation with a cultural healer. we belong to the world.
I can honestly say this is a book every person should read. It's a lot to take in, but it has made me think of life in a whole new way. Open your mind to this one, you'll be amazed.

It took me quite a long time to finish this book. Afterwards, I appreciate the idea that we need a new story to tell and that we don't have to go back to Hunter-gatherer lifestyles to live more gently. I just am not excited by the writing style. So, while the message is good and worthwhile, the book was hard to get through.
