Honestly, I have no idea how or why this ended up in my Audible Library, I had never heard of Patrick Ness nor the Chaos Walking trilogy before, but I am so glad that it did. This was the perfect prequel novella, IMO. It gave me just enough information so that I want to continue with the main trilogy (some day), yet also filled like a complete "story" on it's own. It was also super short - listened to it on the way to and from work in one day. And now the ending has me definitely wanting to read that trilogy one day to see just where Viola's journey in the New World goes from here.

Wish it was longer but a good story if you're into the trilogy. :)

Really short story about what happened to Viola just before she crash-landed on the planet

An interesting little glimpse into life on the spaceships from Viola's POV. I'd love to see more written from her perspective.

awesome! short story about a teen and her parents traveling ahead of a space convoy which has been en route to a new home for a couple of generations. The scout ship gets to the destination planet, and then the real action begins.

i wish this were a full-length book; im going to have to read his Chaos Walking series instead.

It’s nice to see things through viola and before the events of the knife of never letting go.

Absolutely cannot wait to start reading this series.

The first few pages didn't catch me but when this short story really got started, I couldn't finish it quick enough!
