okay, who knew i was missing out on so many wonderful asian mythologies? as much as western mythology has their appeal, these were really fun and amazing! i loved both the retellings and the tidbits detailing the stories and why they were chosen. we certainly need more of diverse mythologies like this! i would absolutely love to see another anthology.

I love myths and legends, so I was sure I'd like this. And I did, but I don't think I really vibed with the stories. Most, if I remember right, were romances which aren't my thing. I shouldn't be surprised though, most fairytales are, aren't they? The last story though, about the kitsune, was my favorite. While still a romance, I really felt like the story was the priority.

I really enjoyed reading this book! Mythology has always been one of my favorite things to read about so I love that this anthology exists and contains such amazing stories about Asian myths and legends. 💜💜💜
