Happy that we could once again join the residents of Crosby, Maine as they lived their lives occasionally touched by the larger than life presence of Olive Kitteridge

I find Olive to be such a deeply complex character - so human. I loved journeying through both Olive Kitteridge and Olive, Again.

I'm so glad that Olive is back! I first met her 10 years ago and was surprised to discover how she had stayed with me. She's the same old Olive, resistant to change, self involved, yet sympathetic and giving. Such a great character.

Olive is one of my favorite characters of all time. This follow up was perfectly done.

I didn't realize this book was a sequel at first. I do feel bad that I didn't read the first one, but this was good on its own. I really enjoyed it. Also, I think it was intended for a much older audience, but I learned a lot from it. It's a book about life and, consequently, death. It's about growing old and how you and others change as you do so, especially how relationships change. It's a little "slice of life" novel I think. I thought it was funny because the characters sounded so British in my head a lot of the time. I could picture it as a little British drama miniseries, even though it was set in a small town in Maine. Olive was such a good character, and I liked her a lot. I really couldn't understand why so many people didn't like her. The only thing I didn't like so much was the timeline of the book.; I thought it was confusing because it skipped around a bit. Besides that, lovely book. I have it a lot of times where I read a book at exactly the right time, and this was true with this one. I thought a lot about my great grandma, especially towards the end. It also gave me a new perspective on how to live and how life goes sometimes. This book is a lot about the mystery of getting older.

I just love Olive Kitteridge! I find her extremely funny, quirky and sad all at the same time.

This book shows us how Olive is changing through the years. Just when you think that she has softened she blurts out something that is completely inappropriate. However, Olive simply does not understand that she is inappropriate or sometimes hurtful. She feels the way she feels and thinks that everyone else should feel that way too. It does not occur to her that the things that she says or does could hurt others feelings.

I love that we get to touch base with some old characters in her previous book and we are introduced to some new folks. I enjoyed watching and living through all her changes.

Many thanks to Netgalley and Random House Publishing Group - Random House for this advanced readers copy. This book is due to release in October 2019.
