This was better than CC writing alone has been recently, but still not a great read. It is entertaining enough for a commute or a beach read. Definitely nothing more than escapism and entertainment, but if that is what you are looking for, then it's worth reading.
Too farfetched. Too 007. Characters are hard to remember.
This was an amazingly good FBI thriller with Nicholas Drummond and his partner Mike traveling around the world in search of clues to solve a mystery that stretches back nearly a century and that now threatens the world. Secret societies. Marie Curie. New technology. Helicopters and planes and submarines. This book had it all and was a thrilling read from start to finish!

a bit to over the top bond villain and unrealistic with secret societies that protect the world behind the scenes, futuristic tech and evil genius billionaires to go along with super spy Nicholas who happens to have every handy skill imaginable - world class hacker, combat extraordinaire, diving, pilot.
Nicholas Drummond, having finished his training, is now officially a part of the FBI. He's in New York working with Mike (Michaela) Caine. And his first day starts off well what with getting out of the office to go to a murder scene -- one where the killer has stuck around. But chasing the suspect ends in an unexpected twist and leads Mike and Nick down a rabbit hole that includes long-lost Nazi gold as well as a mysterious key.
Loved this book! Don't know why there was such a large gap between reading the first book and this one! So great, can't wait to read more!
Picked this up on audiobook for a long car ride. Not my usual book, but I'm was interested enough to keep listening. I was able to follow along fine even though I haven't read the first book in the series. The characters are entertaining and likable.
