What an amazing end to the duology! It had me gripped from page 1 and is filled with answered questions and real heart and love. I honestly like bed how this ended as well and can't wait to read the next novel and all the little novellas in this world. I could live in this world for a dozen books!

now this book really went down a notch from the last one. there weren't any overall plot problems I had, other than a lot of the action being pointless and leading to no actual movement of the storyline, but somehow the characters got worse? like West is revealed to be this rageful man who like burns down ships to save this Fable girl (who he really doesn't know that well) and then it's all just excused away as love for her? or like just part of his nature? and even by the end he's still doing whatever he wants without conferring with his so called equal, Fable...like sir??

I would give this 3.5 stars. While the imagery has still beautiful, it just wasn’t as good as the first book. If the first book didn’t end on that cliffhanger, I would’ve been fine not reading this book. It was still good, but i think it was trying to do a lot more and didn’t match the first one

Actual 3.5 - I keep thinking this book was alright, but the more I look back on it the more I realized I really enjoyed it. It’s a solid ending to the series with a good overall pace. Didn’t love the audiobook narrator BUT I think they were trying to pick someone close to Fable’s age which I appreciate, but since I struggle with YA a lot these days it irked me some. Note: the narrator didn’t do a bad job she just sounded young which made moments when the character complained seem whiny (I also listened to this at work so I can’t fault the book for not holding my attention the whole time
