4.5*, really enjoyed this one but loved Fable more.
The best way I can describe Adrienne Young's writing is that it's like butter. She makes everything so smooth and easy to read and this duology was incredibly enjoyable. I wish more people were reading this! I cannot wait to read more of her backlist and there is is such a rich atmosphere with her stories. SUCH a good duology. I read each book in a sitting because I couldn't put it down.
Like with the first book, it took me a moment to get into the story and the world, but once that happened, I really loved it. Lots of intrigue and twists and I loved that.
