I wish I could give it 4.5 stars... Definitely I won't give it 5, because as hot as it was (and it was a million times better than the books it's being compared to) and as incredibly drawn it had me (I was hooked!) the ending fell totally flat. The story was grabbing enough, but something was missing.... I hope it gets better on the next book ;)

When I started reading this, I thought I'd already found my favorite romance books. I only started this one because I read & heard so many incredible things about it.. but, honestly, I didn't think it would live up to my standards or the gushing reviews.
Oh. My. God. Was I wrong.
I shook, I cried, I laughed, I smiled, I found myself screaming at them like you'd scream at the refs blowing calls during the Superbowl that your home team finally made it to.
Need. Desire. Infatuation. Devotion. Pain. Jealousy. Passionate, toe-curling sex.
But it's so much more. So beyond "love" that the word seems too small. Almost childish. & they feel the same way. "Love" doesn't even touch what they have. They're intoxicating from the moment they meet & you'll be swept into the devastating, devastatingly beautiful whirlwind with them.
I started it today. I finished it today. Thank GOD there's more to read because I'd be bereft without them.

Many people compare this to Fifty shades trilogy but the this book alone was better than that entire series. Now don't get me wrong while I enjoyed the Fifty books I could never handle Anna being weak and timid while on the other hand in this book Eva was fiery, strong and knew what she wanted from Gideon and knew how to take it as well. Both Eva and Gideon are damaged by their pasts but they are works in progress trying to overcome them to be together but Eva puts herself in a possible dangerous situation by staying at Gideon's side it doesn't come off as naive it's more like hopefull that he will fully confront his past like Eva has done. I very much look forward to reading the rest in the series.
