I didn’t love this book. I didn’t hate it. The ending was just...weird? I thought it was anti climatic to be honest.

This series was so well done
There was so much action and adventure, so many twists and turns you don't expect. Amazing friendships, amazing relationships so so many amazing moments. The sexual tention and smut was amazing not to much so it doesn't just feel like a smutty book, there is so much plot aswell.
I do with we saw more of them in the epilogue. I'm still not sure how it will all work out in the end but it was still amazing and I loved all the characters. Side characters were amazing as usual.
I loved when the villain was put in place, that was very satisfying.
Overall really good series definitely recommend

Why did I even bother finishing this?

This trilogy was enjoyable. Nothing spectacular but it kept my attention and I read the whole thing in 3 days. This book however was a little too convenient and the lack of explanation for how the characters were dealing with what happened annoyed me. Their happily ever after didn't work for me because it wasn't explained enough.

ok….

So there’s plot holes and then there is fully formed parts that make no sense to the plot. What happened to the rest of the ‘bad resistance’? 1 million brain washed people just backed off and decided hey we’re fine with kings and queens now? A whole city of people exists that no one knows about? Why if they kidnapped heirs to two countries was their no retribution for that entire compound? Why was Alex determined to see violet at arbon but wasn’t at the game and flew out the next day? Why did the dean allow such disrespect from an eighteen year old? And why was he so sure Brandon was at red east? Why would he even know that unless he had more knowledge than he shared, so then what’s with him employing wainwright, is he society, is he not? Why is rafes room so much bigger than jordys if they’re both crown princes? Such a deal about the guays sattelite tech and it’s not used for anything in the plot, and same with the virus that occupied parts of book two? How did Alex clear his name? Why did the resistance fighters kill Claudette during the chaos but other royals survived despite there being lots of resistance fighters in that ballroom. Meghan’s death was never dealt with at all. Just mentioned and moved on, and yet Jordan said she was like his sister. Just… it’s an easy read, but don’t expect it all to be tied up. Violet is sort of ok in that she’s fierce and caring, but she’s also …. Desperate comes to mind. She falls in love too easily considering her upbringing. She also has a libido that is ridiculously unrealistic. I get that some people like to read that, but it was frequent but thankfully mostly rushed and over quickly.

I think I was slightly gripped when I read these books because I read them in rapid succession, and found it difficult to put them down. But it’s just over half a week since I’ve had them, and I can’t even remember much of what happens.

So overall enjoyable but entirely forgettable.

Notes when reading:

A lot of political contradictions (royals supporting a rebellion against the system, y’all make me chuckle). Something that would literally be impossible if you even slightly deeped it. But I am for sure entertained.

I’m not getting intense chemistry from the three MCs. But the plot is a bit batshit, so together the chemistry and plot are balancing this book out to an okay read. It’s a bit amateurish but that sort of adds to the mess factor.

Also, making it seem like the MCs king and queen parents are just amazing ppl who care soooooooo much about their ppl, idk. It sorta gave monarchy apologist. And sorta hella unrealistic that so many royals, monarchies and aristocrats are fighting for the rights of the ppl as part of a rebellion. I’m entertained but it also pulls me out of the story, bc we all know no one at the top is fighting for any of us down here babe.

What a journey

I have to say when I started this series I did not see it ending this way and that I actually love how it ended. The book starts pretty intense picking up where the 2nd book ended. I did not see the bad resistance being less by "that person" either. Great writing to be able to weave so many unique plot lines. The trio deal with a lot of trauma in the beginning and have to figure out how in the 3rd book to heal, communicate, and be a trio. I was hopeful that it would end as a mfm relationship. Both Jordan and Rafe are amazing and all together they form a family unit. The ending is unique and unconventional in all the best ways. They all stay true to themselves and find their own path. I had a feeling that it would end the way it did with Uriel. Though I was heartbroken for her over what was taken from her. Love the twins. They provide great comic relief and love. They are great. I do hope we get more from all of them. I feel that there is still a lot of story to tell.
