Good read
I wasn’t sure about this book at first, but I’m sure about it now, it’s good. It produces the full range of emotions and leaves you smiling. Old characters pop up and new ones are added, but it all flows so well. So glad I discovered this series.

The Summer Children has got to be my favourite book by Dot Hutchison so far.
Dark and graphic like the first two books in the series, the story draws you in an keeps you captivated throughout. I honestly didn't want to put it down, but had to go to sleep!
The book is fantastic: amazing character development, horrific and descriptive scenes that make you feel so emotional and a great pace for this type of story. Written from the point of view of Mercedes Ramirez, you learn more about her own history and reasons for joining the FBI. For me, introducing her Spanglish into the narrative only solidified her as a character alongside her platonic love for Eddison (platonic love does not get as much publicity as it should and it was beautifully done).
An extremely well-written thriller and police procedural that you're definitely going to want to read!

This book was my favorite out of the trilogy! It was fast-paced and I had a hard time putting it down.
Another amazing book by Hutchison! As disturbing as the subject of crimes against children is, the way she writes these stories is amazing. I love all the characters! I think Vic would be such a great boss!
Thanks for the great read!
