Following original characters but a different storyline. Very emotional and check TWs, but this has been my favorite of the series thus far.
I was disheartened with the second book of this series because it did not live up to what I expected but still ok. This broke my heart into pieces and I was back on track. I doubted continuing this series after The Roses of May. But I wanted to find out the backstories of the other detectives. I loved this .

Absolute page turner! Butterfly Garden and this one are my favorites of the trilogy.
Yet again I’m obsessed with this series. Though each book has taken on a whole new path than the previous, it’s still tied together so wonderfully. My heart aches and I cry so much within this series. Highly recommend.
