Another poetry book full of powerful words. I like this one, but not as much as others. The pictures Megan paints of past relationships are painful to imagine anyone going through. This is a very quick read, and there is a lot of symbolism and drawings that people can read into in order to try and understand what she's gone through.

I read this book in about an hour. When this book came out, it costed $26. How?? The poems felt more like Instagram posts. Some poems were witty and smart (I really like fatality).  But, for the most part, not thought-provoking. I felt like she wrote it in one day and put out to the world. If this was $5, okay. But $26 is too much. It needs a lot more time and marinating.

I will never understand why folks put up with abuse that is described here. Why come out this way, but presumably stay, and not use the energy to leave instead?

I hope she gets the help she so clearly needs.

I actually liked this because it reminds me of 2010s edgy tumblr poems. A guilty pleasure.

A beautiful, haunting collection. Go into this and read the Author's Note. Leave all other pre-conceived notions behind. I do hope to read more from her in the future.
