Some of these poems were actually gut wrenching and some were less than ten words taking up an entire page. Overall, I did love it but I wouldn't recommend it to harsher reviewers.
At only 38 minutes (standard speed) in the audiobook format, I really enjoyed this collection of poems from Fox. I found them confronting, brutal and honest. It was something new and unexpected from Fox, and I found it a great change of pace.
her poems are gut wrenching. I wish she could have gotten away from mgk. knowing that she’s pregnant now with that man’s baby scares me so much. lord please protect her and that child.

This is free verse poetry that is steeped in the emotions and vitriol the pushed the late 2000s into the early 2010s. The illustrations were well picked to match the feelng of the poetry. Although I wouldn't read this for the poetry itself, the insight into Fox and her time with her ex was well worth the time, and I enjoyed several of the poems.

First, I had NO idea this was even out, or in the works, was this just a mic drop? If so, it was so needed and oh my gosh, just so moving but also so messed up. Megan is talented, but this, wow. I'd love to hear more of what else she has written, or honestly, what else she has to say, poetry or not. Also, I saw that she had to 'tone' this down, let's get the original out there! Megan, be 'savage' this is about YOU. Powerful, moving, and truly just incredible art (but heartbreaking that this is from your life).
