Thank you to NetGalley & BooksGoSocial for the ALC!

The narrators did a great job on this, and I love that it was a full cast.

This was my first “horror” book, and I liked it more than I expected to. I do think that the magic part of it took away from the scary element of it, but that might just be a me problem. I also liked the multi-timeline part too!

Jeremiah deserves all bad things ever, GOOD RIDDANCE ✋🏻

If you like cult-religious trauma, you’ll definitely enjoy this one!

This was such a fun and interesting read. I love reading horrors/thrillers but this was my first audiobook and the multiple narrators made the book soooo fun to read. It was such and immersive experience and it reads like a movie. I love that throughout the book we as readers are in the dark and we get to learn things along with the characters and know more because we are getting so many perspectives. The plot twists and the mystery is so good and I couldn't stop listening. I can't wait for this book to be on my shelf. The story, the character development, the narration, everything was so good!

The audio book was 10/10.  I do think the audio book made this experience better. I think the story was good and the twists, spooky element, family secrets, and mystery were all well done, but I can see how this would have been a little confusing to follow without audio with the different timelines and characters.... The narration was superb.

This story had me hooked.

Thank you to Netgalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for providing an advance reader copy of this book. All opinions are my own.

Monroe is a young man who is living with his drug-addicted mother and ends up meeting Indi, his next door neighbor who is involved with a religious cult and is arranged to be married to the pastor of the group. They become close and decide to run away together in order to remove themselves from their life situations. One night, Monroe hears blood-curdling screams and ends up in a psychiatric hospital due to "drug-induced psychosis." When he returns to his hometown a year later to search for Indi, he is told that she doesn't exist and never existed. Thus begins Monroe's search for proof that Indi did exist and where he can locate her.

This was a wild ride. The idea of a religious cult scares me anyways, and this book took it to a whole new level. I loved the dual timelines and I loved how it all came together at the end. This book had everything a horror books needs - psychiatric hospitals, unreliable characters, supernatural elements, etc. We went through puzzle after puzzle trying to figure out whether Indi was real or not, which I really liked. I felt like I was immersed in the story and I often questioned my own "sanity" on whether I believed Monroe or not.

If you like books with voodoo-vibes, unreliable characters that make you yourself feel unreliable, twists and turns and satisfying endings, you will enjoy this one from Nikki Minty.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio for providing me with the ALC of Psychosis Diagnosis in exchange for an honest review!

Okay, I won’t lie—this audiobook was incredible. The full-cast narration brought the story to life in the most immersive way. Each character had a distinct voice, which made it so much easier to follow the complex, shifting dynamics, and the emotional performances added a lot of depth to the experience. Honestly, one of the best audiobook productions I’ve listened to this year!

The story itself was gripping and unsettling—in all the best ways. Psychosis Diagnosis follows Monroe, a teenager trying to escape a traumatic past, who ends up entangled in a horrifying web of cult abuse, mental health misdiagnosis, and small-town secrets. The Church of Salvation is the stuff of nightmares, and the book tackles themes of gaslighting, isolation, and institutional failure with chilling clarity.

As a horror fan, I loved the blend of psychological suspense and occult themes. The pacing kept me hooked, and I never knew where the story was going—just when I thought I had it figured out, another layer unraveled. That unpredictability really worked for me and kept my brain engaged the whole time.

Thank you to Netgalley and Nikki Minty for the ARC digital copy for reviewing.

The book had some really great
supernatural cult elements. It started a bit slow and I thought it might be an average stereotypical ghost mystery. But as it went along, the mystery definitely evolved into a really scary cult story. There are also undertones of racism and distrust of the system from Monroe.
I loved adding Shaina's POV but the few chapters from Owen's POV were a bit weird. I just wish there was more of his POV even though he wasn't likeable. That would make it feel more cohesive instead of just a random chapter thrown in because there wasn't another way to tell certain plot lines. Also, I wish we had seen more of Elias and the grandmother because they were such interesting characters.
I did keep getting confused when they mentioned the winter solstice because it was June so I had to keep reminding myself that they were in Australia so keep that in mind. Overall though the story was really great and had an interesting twist on a cult story.

Thank you to NetGalley and BooksGoSocial Audio and also the author Nikki Minty for this audio copy of psychosis diagnosis.

Love love love!! This book is an amazing read! If you love magic, witches, and betrayal you’re in for a good one! This also has a cast of narrators and they made the book so enjoyable to listen to!

This book has an amazing concept and it was well executed. Set in Australia we follow Monroe Morgan who grew up with his drug addict mother. He grew up in a shaggy house and one day he met his neighbor Indi, she confided in him about her dad abusing her and he decided he was going to help get her out of there away from her dad but then he gets locked away for a year. After getting out he finds out indi doesn’t live in the same house anymore. Can he find her before it’s too late late? As Monroe is on the hunt to find Indi he moves in with his sister and starts working at a pub, he uncovers so many dark secrets that he was never aware of. We follow multiple POVs on this book and I love how just the ending ties everything together.

This book made me remember what a 5 star book is. I loved it so much. I’m definitely buying a physical copy.

Overall 3.75 stars.

Premise: A troubled young man who grows in unfortunate circumstances with a drug addict as a mother finds himself wanting to help his next door neighbour, a young girl who has been repeatedly abused by her father. He comes to find out that her family is involved with a cult that no one else believes to exist. Everything comes to a head when he realises no one believes his story or that the abused young girl exists.

This is a supernatural thriller that explores the themes of black magic and satanic cults. The story is said from points of view of different characters from two different timelines; this gives readers a sense of understanding a global story with multiple facets to each character and helps readers link up the timeline. Although I personally found the use of multiple POVs in this story quite a clever and easy to read way of understanding the whole picture that spans over several years; some readers may feel this to be quite jarring.

The characters were well written with several of them being likeable however certain aspects of relationships between characters were not well explored and felt quite rushed.

Overall it was a predictable and yet intriguing thriller.
