This is my all time favorite series, and I always go into each book with the absolute highest of expectations. I have adored Dani since her first appearance and have been invested in her growth over the last several books. HiVo was not everything I had anticipated, but I enjoyed the story nonetheless. It is a solid addition to the series, and I can't wait to see what happens in the next installment.
Spoiler
The beginning was painstakingly slow and uneventful. I literally spent the first 160 pages just waiting for Ryodan. I loved the storyline, but the ending felt rushed. Perhaps because this was only one book, but I thought there would be more buildup or more scenes between Ryo/Dani? I know this book features Dani, but I was disappointed there was no Mac. There series is Mac/Barrons and it felt sad to have so little of them.

Review
Not as action packed as previous books that followed Dani’s storyline. This one gives a lot more emotion and pulls on your “strings”
Well worth the wait and well worth the read, as always!

There. Are. Answers.
I am in my happy place. Dani, the woman has gone through some massive trials and made some huge transitions. In the beginning it was confusing, to see a young girl suffer so and be seen as more in the future. I admit I did not like young Dani, she was a thorn to me in the story. Oh there was some serious backlash towards Ms. Moning, speculations based on her age, before the tale was finished being told. If only they'd waited they would have seen this beautiful, wonderfully magical woman finally grab ahold of her red threads and become what she was ment to be. The truth of why this obsession was there made me jump and scream "YEH!" I'm not going to spoil it for anyone, you don't need to know more.
Another great book from Ms. Moning. She continues to be one of my top 5 authors, one I re-read from often. I can not wait for her next work.. Bravo Ms. Moning, you rock !
Wish I could just read these books and live in this world forever! Gaaaahhh why must they end?!
a little disappointing. too sappy and i dont know how too put it.
The entire Fever series is epic and this is one of my faves of the series.
