4 stars - It was great. I loved it.
The best book in the series since the original first five. Now that she’s more mature, it was lovely spending time inside Dani’s head.
-------------------------------------------
Favorite Quote: I learned young that moments of comedy during the horror show can be a life raft, enough to keep you bobbing in a violent, killing sea.
First Sentence: He wouldn’t have seen the shooting star if the woman in his bed hadn’t fallen asleep, overstaying her welcome, filling him with the restless desire for a solitary walk on the beach.

After books and books of building up to a Ryodan and Dani relationship I ended this book with the word..... OOOOOOOOKAY
Please see @Fresiako's review below. She expressed my thoughts and feelings about this book much more eloquently than I ever could.
I think Dani and Ryodan are far better pair that Mac and Barrons but alas I want more of this storyline!

This book was amazing! I was really worried how it would turn out considering how long the series has been going, but Karen Marie Moning stuns again! The only thing that could made this book better would be more scenes with Shazam who is probably one of the best characters that Karen has ever created. Whenever I read a scene with him I instantly have a smile on my face and laugh out loud!
I'm so glad this one was about Dani. oh, how far she's come from zipping around Dublin with a heart full of sorrow and a head full of ego. about 3/4 through I was so angry, I was ready to stop reading. How could this be her fate... after all she'd survived? This was her reward?
but I kept reading, and I get it now. It makes perfect sense, actually.
And I hate to say it, but I had to break up with Jericho. I'll now be getting an RKS tramp stamp asap...

It feels like I've waited as long as Dani has for Ryodan for a true Dani book since Iced. It's been a stretch, but entirely worth the wait. KMM never gives us exactly what we want when we want it though when we finally get it it feels just right. She promised a love story and that's what we got; a Mega love story filled with ass kicking, new foes, and a world full of turmoil (and that's just in her head). I promised I'd read it over 4 days at least. Truth be told, I didn't make it 12 hours. I couldn't put it down.
3 stars. I haven’t read this series in a couple of years and I had forgotten how much I cannot stand the male characters. Dani is great, I love her. I prefer following Mac because that’s my girl, but Dani is awesome as well. Ryodan didn’t get on my nerves as much here which was good even though I still don’t like him and I don’t ship him and Dani at all. Their relationship just doesn’t sit right with me. A lot of this book felt like filler and was a bit boring but the action scenes were fun. This installment was fine. Not good but not bad.
