Trying to figure out how to rate this book or even put some of my good vs. bad thoughts down is difficult. Doesn't help that it's damn hard to find any bad reviews or even 3 stared reviews of this book!
•Like book 1, book 2 had some confusing moments (but not as many, still aggravating though) & caused a disconnect between me and the story. Which doesn't help with the feeling that something, for some annoying reason, is just missing for me.
•It may be because of the writing style and just needing to get use to it but I'm not certain.
•about 100 pages in it put a bitter taste in my mouth because of what happens, but I started liking the book more around 200 pages in. The first half I didn't like at all but it got better in the second half.
•Glad that there was more mention and focus on the "Ancients" & "Builders", it was really needed and added a little more something
•I really liked Miana for some reason and hope she plays a much larger role in the 3rd book.
