Ok … this book was highly recommended to me, and while I didn’t hate it…. I didn’t love it. Would I recommend it??? No. Having said that, if you have a long TBR pile I’d say just audiobook it. Honestly, I thought that it may have been a book better suited for the audiobook format, since it is my understanding that the author really wanted to bring attention to the conversations these characters have.

When I finished the book, I felt like did I miss something?? But honestly for me the book was a drag early on, and it took me an entire month to finish. I kept hoping I’d be hooked. The journey to the climax of this book takes about 70% of the book, and then you get there and you get a very rushed, unpolished ending.

Finally, the characters suck. They never truly learn their lesson (in my opinion). There is certainly a more eloquent way to say that, but honestly they were just awful. I didn’t love the character development, and while these characters aren’t the worse people you’ll ever read about, it’s like so after making poor decisions one after another I don’t think they learned much from these events. Millie’s visit to Kennedy at the end of the book ENRAGED me… DO BETTER MILLIE! And don’t get me started on selfish Agatha!!! No one in this book knows how to give a proper apology!

In the end I think the idea of these book was fresh, but the execution was rotten.

To conclude, I really tried to like this book…. But I just didn’t care for it and felt it was a bit all over the place.
