This was an interesting one. I was pulled in by the characters and read it quickly because I wanted to know how their stories progressed — but there wasn't a lot of plot development. Perhaps this is because most of the story took place on one floor inside of a college dorm. My nosy nature loved listening in to the conversations of students and RAs alike. This felt more of a young adult book versus adult fiction. I liked this book, but it didn't blow me away. On to the next!

This book is ridiculous and dramatic….I didn’t hate it though. Would’ve been 4 stars if the ending wasn’t so abrupt and unsatisfactory.

While not as successful at making the morally grey characters likable here as compared to Such a Fun Age, there’s two things Kiley Reid continues to deliver on: 1. Social commentary that makes you think and squirm and 2. Dialogue that feels so authentic like the reader is a part of the characters’ conversation and makes you LOL.
