I heard about this book through a podcast recommendation. I don't tend to read a lot of JA books, but this one sounded like any age could enjoy and appreciate. Which turned out to be the case. This book captivated me immediately and quickly became a read I could not put down. This book is written with sensitivity and an appreciation of the quirky and awkward that in some ways we never grow out of. No spoiler here, just to say I loved the ending.

It was really good and I just really wanted to read it all and it never to end.

Wow, this book took me back in time, made me feel all those first love feelings.  Great narration.

Oh wow.. this book.. It took my breath away. I know how they feel. And Eleanor’s story, I feel for her.. A girl who is barely 17 with so much going on, just trying to survive.. It is heartbreaking. The end began to frustrate me, until the last chapter. Perfect ending!

Yep

Maybe it's because I went through this book so slowly but the ending felt abrupt. I am still not entirely sure what the three words are. I enjoyed it for the most part though. I liked the side characters-- except Richie or whatever his name was. He was the worst. I'm glad to be done reading about him and bummed that he didn't drunk drive his car into a pole (which I would only ever say about a fictional character, for the record).

Rainbow Rowell, no te costaba nada escribir 10 paginillas más para hacernos felices a todos. Aún así, se lo recomendaré a todos los futuros hijos de mis amigas.

I give this book 3 stars bcs this book is not really special for me, I don't know--the story was good but not really good. I just like the way Rowell wrote every single words in this book, the story seems so real. She (Rowell) is pretty good at describing Eleanor and Park's life. But this book is really not good enough for me.
This book has taught me that life is not easy, moreover you have to face an abusive step-father like Eleanor's, I admitted it. But, in the end of the book, I think Eleanor is very selfish, leave her little sister and brothers to move to Minnesota.

3.5 stars, this book was very good. It helped me realize that I do enjoy chick-lit (would this be considered chick-lit??) Eleanor and Park's family dynamics and what they both end up going through emotionally is truly sweet and sour- just like first-loves should be. It was very lovely and idealistic of a romance that everyone should have the opportunity to experience because that is how you can eventually grow. I love Rainbow Rowell's writing and other works so I was a little biased into how much I would like this book, but I'm glad I wasn't disappointed. :)
