So I found this book browsing Kindle unlimited and thought it sounded good. And wow this book took me on a roller coaster!!
The book starts off with the traumatic event of Darcy and the chapters teeter back and forth between past and present. Darcy is a horror story writer who lives in a secluded house in the woods. One day she gets writers block and begins these adventures to kind of take her mind off writing and she happens to meet Reeve, her "stalker". Reeve and Darcy take off hot and heavy (SPICY) but it doesn't end there.
This book has HUGE twists and you realize things and people aren't what they appear to be.
SO SO good. Loved the plot. Loved the characters and loved the spice. Only reason I gave it 4.5 stars was the story was so drawn out and the ending was so abrupt. Other than those things, amazing book. Would like to see it on booktok!

What first drew me to this book was the cover, I mean HELLO it is stunning. The second thing that drew me in was that it was a stalker romance. SIGN ME UP PLEASE.
When I read the first page, I was put into a chokehold by this book. If I am being completely honest, it still has me in a chokehold even though I'm finished. I have never read a romance book this mysterious or with a plot like this before.
And when I say mysterious, I mean I had absolutely no idea what was going on the whole time with the plot and between the hero and heroine and I got to say I loved it.
I loved how this book kept me guessing, I had no idea what was going to happen next. I was confused the whole time and I just loved that. This was a mind boggling book and every time I tried to piece together information SM Shade threw in a curve ball and took me by surprise.
This is a book you need to add to TBR immediately. My review does not even do this book justice in my opinion, it is an experience. It is a book you just need to experience. Lets just say when I finished this book I was freaking out, over the plot, over the characters, and over the ending. AHHH you guys, you just need to read this book to understand what I mean and I guarantee you will be freaking out with me.

Holy Toledo's Batman. This book had my heart pumping. If you don't mind books that push you out of your comfort zone, then definitely check this one out. It was dark, and a little twisted, but oh so good! It will keep you on the edge of your seat, and make you wonder what the heck you just read. What on earth?! I’m still reeling from this one!
In an attempt to not spoil anything all I am going to say is read this book! It will make you question yourself a little bit in a good way. There’s definitely darkness in us all but whether or not we choose to accept it, to embrace it, can determine the course your life is set on.

This book was fire, I don't even know how to review it without giving away anything. I haven't been reading any snippets before diving into books lately, so I wasn't sure what to except.
This book is heartbreaking at the beginning, I can't believe I'm about to say this but I wouldn't mind being stocked by Revee's. If you read anything this year, this is the one to read. I highly recommend it, it's absolutely amazely written, I'm not even sure if that's a word lol. I highly recommend making sure you have nothing planned when starting this because you're not going to want to put it down.

* How do you feel about how the story was told?: We are in Darcy’s head the whole time. She has a heartbreaking backstory and she has a lot of interesting coping mechanisms. The H is shrouded in mystery throughout the book.
* What did you think about the main characters?: I liked Darcy and was rooting for her. She had such a rough go of things that she deserved happiness.
* Which parts of the book stood out to you?: I guessed the twist in the end early on. I was a little disappointed, but the book was still riveting and well-written.
* What themes/tropes did you detect in the story?: falling in love with a stalker, mental illness and surviving trauma
