This is such a sweet, funny, and somewhat dark book about a group of elderly folks from all walks of life (some of which are more dark and mysterious than others) trying to hold their house together as murders start happening all around them
Quick, enjoyable read. I liked the characters and didn't mind the absurdities (or all the "quirk" that seemed to bother some readers).

Definitely quirky. This translation from German brings a perspective to the aging population that is decidedly novel to this American. Agnes is our protagonist and she is simultaneously plucky and vulnerable. She and her housemates become embroiled in a trio of murders and between their failing memories and the planted evidence, narrowly escape being accused of committing the crimes.
