Wanted more

I was so excited to read this book. I was hoping it would be similar to The Home Series. It was not. The story idea had me captured. Honestly that is why I finished the book.

However the ending was to simplified for me. Although I liked the characters it was more telling instead of showing.

Bent not broken

Charlie is a strong girl. She cant speak after the traumatic home invasion that took away her family. After doctors and therapists deems that her vocal cords are working she still keeps quiet. Foster parents don't care, police don't believe her and she just stopped talking to protect herself from further pain.
She is given a fresh start at a new foster placement, a lonely but understanding and kind woman. She managed to make friends and pick up her life even with the nightmares following her. I read this book and was pleasantly surprised. This was the first book I've read by thia author and would definitely try another one.

Kinda cute. The main character is mute due to a vocal injury and trauma, she does start to talk towards the end a bit when she learns to heal. I love how accepting her friends are of her and Sophia is great. The FF is why I read this book and they r cute. Adam is black, and wasn’t described in weird way, but I could still tell the author was white, but not in a racist way if that make scene. Cole is my favourite. No smut (good cuz they’re minors) but when they age up in book two, apparently there will be some steam.

This was refreshing YA RH book. I rarely read contemporary RH books and I try to stay away from YA RH books altogether but there was something about the description of this book that called to me.

This book is ultimately about healing, acceptance and love. Our main MC, Charlie not only witnessed the brutal killing of her family but barely escaped with her life, sustaining severe damage to her vocal cords and esophagus leaving her unable to speak. Everyone in her small town pretty much abandons her including her so called best friend.

Charlie is moved to a foster home two hours away to a new small town, her new foster mother Sophia lost her husband a few years ago and they never had kids, I loved her right from the beginning.

When Charlie meets her new group of friends, I loved them right away, how they rallied around her giving her all that she needed to heal. The most refreshing part for me was how not all of them became part of her Harem, Trent was mature enough to know he couldn't handle that and was content to be one of her best friends.

A good RH if your not looking for sexy times, strictly healing, love and cuddles.

Wow!

This book held me captive from the very first moment I started reading. Charlie has been through it all and some. We go through the majority of the story with her being mute but we get to hear her inner thoughts throughout the whole thing. This book had suspense, friends to lovers, and a hea. This book was not spicy which the majority of the books I read are. However, I thoroughly enjoyed this book so much. I loved how everyone in the group immediately accepted Charlie and immediately became protective of her. I loved watching some friendships grow into romance. I also loved seeing how even though some in the group weren’t interested in a romantic relationship with her, they remained good friends. I also loved seeing Charlie’s growth and strength from beginning to end. I highly recommend this book to anyone.

Pretty good

I wasn’t sure about this at first but it turned out to be a pretty good read. There is a lot of gruesome things that are explained in this book so just a heads up. This is a reverse harem FF/MM.

My eyes are so puffy!

I don’t think I’ve cried so much reading a book before. The number of times I cried before getting even halfway through is astonishing!
This was an amazing book. Charlie’s path to healing both physically and mentally was so powerful. I loved the evolution of her relationships with the people in her life.
I definitely recommend this book!

Be sure to have tissues handy though!
