I absolutely love this book and thats really all I should have to say.
Basically this is a nice easy read with a whole lot of problematic characters.
I liked the premise of the book. The whole Seven Stones idea was pretty cool and I enjoyed the concept of the Unmentionables.
But the characters were ridiculous. Lizzy, as far as I can tell, is pretty much a weaker version of Stephanie Plum who makes cupcakes. Besides not being very original, Lizzy has a creepy relationship with Diesel, who continually makes inappropriate sexual comments regarding her despite her verbal rejections. But Lizzy is okay with it because Diesel is hot. Seriously? Their relationship is ridiculous and gets pretty annoying pretty quick considering how much text is dedicated to their silly banter.
The text is easy to read and I got through it fairly quickly. It can pretty much be summed up as good story, horrible characters.

I'm glad I read the in between the Plums first to have gotten to know Diesel and Carl. I saw some people say that Lizzy a blonde Stephanie, but I really didn't see her that way. When you read books by the same author they voice may carry into other characters. I found this to be enjoyable and it was nice to venture more into supernatural with this series. I did do this on audiobook and the lady does an excellent job. However, with Lizzy she would sometimes try to do a southern accent. Would have been okay had it been consistent.
Classic Evanovich with a supernatural spin. If you've read the between-the-Plums series and wanted to know more about Diesel, then this one totally is for you. It's supernatural without being supernatural -- you're still left with some skepticism intact. It's really not much different from the Plum books -- same style, same type of plots, but with a new setting and new characters to get to know and laugh at (er, with?). The references back to New Jersey are fun, but I could do without Carl the Monkey. :)
A zany, quick read with an absurd plot and a cast of characters that includes a bumbling would-be witch, a degenerate monkey, and a one-eyed ninja cat. This book doesn't just require suspension of disbelief, it requires you to suspend your sense of reality, but if you can manage to do that it is a very entertaining ride.

Complete and utter fluff. I admit there were times it had me laughing out loud, but it was really over-the-top ridiculous (which seems to be the point). Also, it jumped around a lot. So much so that I often felt perhaps some paragraphs were simply missing.
great paranormal mystery with some laugh out loud moments. Can't go wrong with Evanovich!
