Let’s meet the family!

Oh my goodness! This one ended on a worse cliffhanger than the last book! I will definitely continue on with that third book next! I am so hooked! These characters are amazing! This story is beyond words! I cannot wait to see what happens next. I have not screamed no don’t do it! At a fictional character in a long time but I definitely did it a couple of time to Ellie. I hope Luke gets his head on straight and I hope a few other characters take a hike! Wish me luck on this journey because I don’t know if I will survive it!

I received an ARC in exchange for an honest review. I actually won it and was so excited to keep reading this series as I won the first installment as well. Thank you ARC lottery! This book 2 in the Vegas Aces series and you’ll need to read Home Game before reading this otherwise it won’t make sense. While I usually dislike this multiple book format, I am enjoying this so much that I just don’t care!

This is the continuation of Ellie and Luke’s story which was a one night stand that morphed into a brother’s best friend roommate situation. It now has elements of a fake fiancé/wife and these are all themes I absolutely adore. Ellie is now Luke’s PR Manager and is helping him stay relevant in the football world since this is his last year on his contract. They are spending lots of time together and she finds herself falling for him each day. It’s obvious Luke has feelings for Ellie but he’s been burned in the past so he’s more standoffish than Ellie would prefer especially after agreeing to be his fake fiancé. This book explores the ongoing relationship between these two and highlights Ellie’s concerns if she moves forward with his plan.

I loved this almost as much as the first one in the series. Luke and Ellie’s relationship is special even if he’s standoffish. There is something THERE and they both know it even if Luke won’t admit it but watching Ellie’s reaction to the rejection was just heartbreaking at times. At times I wanted to knock some sense into her as well as slap him. I will say though that I REALLY, REALLY want to read something from Luke’s point of view even if it’s just a letter, one chapter or a secret diary she uncovers because it would give this book another level of emotion that would elevate it even more. Because Luke is quiet and doesn’t like to tell Ellie deep things, the reader is also in the dark when it comes to his real self. While I like Luke, he does have some backpedaling to do after this installment and I’d love to see how he feels about what just happened and if it’s affecting him the same way it’s affecting Ellie. Overall though I loved it and am looking forward to the next one in the series.

Long Game picks up right where book 1 left off, after that crazy cliffhanger! There's so many aspects in this story that is just hooking me in. This being the only the second book, I know have to wait for the conclusion, but the anticipation on what might happen is going to make me crazy! I know it'll be a wild and angsty ride. But I’m loving every second of it!

Lisa Suzanne weaves such an enthralling, complicated and twisty tale. I was pulled into the story and have became addicted to the drama and angst! I can't wait to read more and discover where Lisa is going to take me in book three.

So I often talk about how I have particular authors who I will buy, and read everything they publish. Lisa Suzanne is one of those authors, but with that comes very high expectations. She definitely exceeded my expectations for the first two books in this Vegas Aces Series. This series is based off of one couple, and all the crazy things they endure together. Ellie gets fired, her boyfriend dumps her, and she decides to move to Vegas all in one day. At the bachelorette party for her best friend/soon to be sister in law the bridesmaids are determined to get her first one night stand. She meets Luke, but she doesn’t expect to find out he’s her brother's best friend. Honestly hands down my new favorite football series. Make sure you add this to your GoodReads TBR lists. [3 Stars] A decent read to pass the time and I’m glad the rest of the books are on Kindle Unlimited because I would be pretty upset for buying a series of books that are 150-200 pages each when they could have combined them into 2 books and be done with it. The story is a pretty good one and there’s not anything really cringeworthy in terms of dialogue or character’s actions (although the thought processes of the FMC surrounding her feelings for the MMC are a little…obsessive?). The books are entertaining enough to keep me reading the series and more from this author—I just hate the fact that I’m essentially reading novellas instead of full-length books when the story is all there to have one or two good books.

Think I liked the first one in the series better. Honestly these all feel like they should be one book, not 5

Long Game

Idk how many books are in this series but man we really are playin the long game here. Interesting choice for a cliffhanger. But I'm still here for it

I am so hooked on this series. This is book 2 and Luke and Ellie just have me addicted to them. I'm sitting on the edge of my seat waiting for the next instalment
