Things are heating up but at the same time cooling off between Luke and Ellie. The introduction of Luke's family had my stomach in knots. I pretty much like only his sister. And his brother can take a flying leap. He treats Luke horribly. They all do. I hope we get some explanation. I know Jack has his own set of books. But I kinda don't want to read them because he's such a massive pr*ck.

Changes in Ellie Nolan life is filled with a new job as her future husband's publicist. She is determined to make Luke Dalton still an asset to his football team, The Aces. In order to show he is worthy than what is being said about him by agreeing to a marriage of convenience as one of their plans. This in turn in hopes to get her ex-wife, ex-girlfriend, his boss, and anyone else who has doubts about Luke Dalton to see him in a new light.
Needless to say this poses a challenge for Ellie (and possibly maybe for Luke too) as being only a business transaction. They had one unforgettable night and as much as she hopes for more Luke has been burnt badly in the past and anything more is not possible. The more time spent to make everything look real the deeper she is starting to fall. How can you present to the world that they are in love without deep feelings involve?
We are left with a cliffy with plans to meet Luke's family and another obstacle in proving that what they have it real. This is only book 2 and the need for more stats constantly comes to play. Luckily we won't have to wait long for Fair Game (Vegas Aces #3) comes out March 18th!

This one started better than the last but then went a little downhill. These books are so short they don’t need to be separated and could all be one. Girl, if the guy says he’s not into you, then stop pursuing him. It’s pretty simple and idk why she’s so upset that he doesn’t like her.

Luke accidentally blurts out that he and Ellie are engaged to his ex-girlfriend who goes to the media and the next morning the news headlines throw Luke's whole life into a tailspin. Ellie agrees to play along with the fake engagement and even the idea of a marriage of convenience and all she needs to do is not fall in love with Luke since this is only business.
Long Game starts out with a bang and a bit of a shock. I found the middle of this one to be a little repetitive. Luke and Ellie are still fighting their attraction to each other and it seems to be tougher the more time they spend together. Luke's family is a real treat, except for his sister. The cliffhanger in this one has me anxious for Fair Game, coming March 18th.

I’m torn on this series but I keep continuing along. More tension at home before he’s like “hell yeah, come on vacation with my family” and then “oh yeah, let’s get married” but they are so wish-washy.
I’m living for the drama though.

Long Game is the second book in the series. This books pick up where you left off Ellie and Luke are dealing with the media and fake engagement. Then meeting Luke family is hell for everyone. All while Luke and Ellie is dancing around their feeling for each other. But the more Luke past is reveal the more it seems Ellie starts to have question. And of course we are left with another cliffhanger.
Lisa does great bring old and new characters together. Even though I hare some of new characters. The story was well written but I though it was a off in some place. Overall a good book.

Long Game picks up right where book 1 left off, after that crazy cliffhanger! There's so many aspects in this story that is just hooking me in. This being the only the second book, I know have to wait for the conclusion, but the anticipation on what might happen is going to make me crazy! I know it'll be a wild and angsty ride. But I’m loving every second of it!
Lisa Suzanne weaves such an enthralling, complicated and twisty tale. I was pulled into the story and have became addicted to the drama and angst! I can't wait to read more and discover where Lisa is going to take me in book three.
