Felt a bit slow at times but I enjoyed this!
Of course this book is amazing. Written and read by Rebel Wilson, it is exactly what you think it will be, and then so much more. With all of the humor we see in Pitch Perfect and The Hustle, plus real heart-felt emotional truths from her experiences, there is something everyone can relate to and appreciate. Rebel is not only funny, she’s highly educated (has a law degree!) and her brilliance shows through in her writing. This is probably one of the most well-written celebrity memoirs I’ve read, as far as development and editing go at least. Rebel is relatable and through her story, continues to inspire and empower women to be themselves and achieve their dreams.
I didn't know much about Rebel other than watching her character Fat Amy in Pitch Perfect, but I remember always wondering how she felt about people referring to her as "fat" so casually and in the name of humor. This book answers the question. I learned a lot more about her and her journey. The reason for the 3 stars is because this book made me feel sad. I like the memoirs that end with an empowering message, but this one for some reason just didn't do it for me.

A decent celebrity memoir. Learned many things about Rebel that I never knew!
I don’t like having to rate memoirs because it’s their lived experience. I think that Rebel has an authentic voice— and people claiming she had a ghostwriter have obviously not made it through law school. She didn’t shy away from the perks of being a celebrity- from free villas in tropical locations to birthday parties at Disney after dark to free engagement rings. I appreciated her honesty. She seems like a genuine person and I wish her & her family the best.

Really enjoyed this audiobook!! Learned so much about Rebel Wilson - I only really knew about her from Pitch Perfect. She did a great job organizing her story and including emotional and humorous clips, really showcasing her personality. I like her even more now!
