I know this is a beauty and the beats retelling but I did not like it. I love Sophie’s writing but this book was not for me. I don’t particularly care that Jack died because of what he did to Seb but the fact Miko literally was like yeah Jack is dead and Dante is in jail AND THEN SHE JUMPED HIS BONES. I could understand if it happened before he told her but the fact it was after proves that Nessa was as dumb as I thought she was. He “intrigued” her. Nah homie you have Stockholm Syndrome. She didn’t even try to fight back at all. Like 0 resistance. Gods I didn’t like her lmao.
I also know I can’t read the 4th book because what I hate more than the pregnancy trope is when the woman has the baby is secret and keeps it from the dad. Since I refuse to read it this is the only way I can write a review lmao. I LOVE Dante and Simone is a grade A c*nt.

Another enjoyable read by Sophie Lark, i loved the sound of this book and I throughly enjoyed it. I’m not always a fan of the clueless, naive FMCs but I did actually really like Nessa. I liked seeing her grow and become stronger within herself. I loved the slow burn between her and Miko, it was a lot different from book 1. I loved the Beauty and Beast inspired story for them, felt quite fitting. My heart did hurt for Miko at times and what he had been through. It was nice to see them both get their HEA. Feel like this story tops book 1 for me but I love Callum & Aida as a couple a bit more
