I loved this so much and it is definitely my favourite of the series so far. I completely fell in love with this story from the beautiful writing style and intricate, complex characters. I loved the between Miko and Nessa and they reminded me a lot of the 'Devil's Night' characters especially with all the tension. I think if you are a fan of dark romances this will be a massive hit for you and I really recommend, I didn't want to put this down and I can't wait for the next instalment.

This is my third and last Sophie Lark book. Her writing is just not for me. This is another case of characters reading like horny teens. This book had the most potential for me to like it and yet I somehow HATE every single character.

The triple threat trope: enemies to lovers, forced proximity, and mafia. SCRUMPTIOUS.
I wasn’t sure how much I’d like this book especially just after reading The Sweetest Oblivion but damn. This was a great book. I loved the descriptions of Mikolaj’s mansion.
I loved the Nessa’s and Mikolaj’s character development. Nessa’s was like watching a butterfly emerge from a cocoon and learning how to fly. Mikolaj’s was like watching the grinch grow a heart LOL.

I really enjoyed the second book of the Brutal Birthright. It was a great mafia love story between Nessa and Miko. No matter how hard Miko tries, he can't hate Nessa. He just falls more and more in love with her. I absolutely love the way the author writes. Character development is great and you really get to know the characters is really well. I can't wait to read the next one!
