I didn’t really enjoy this book. I felt like it could have been at least 100 pages shorter, and the first few chapters had way too much reflection. I get wanting to give some backstory, but it felt like nothing but backstory for the first 100 pages and mixed in quite a bit still after that. The FMC and MMC seemed to hate each other for literally NO reason, which does not make a good “enemies to lovers” trope. But it also felt too trope-y in other ways that were just bland and boring to me.

The only part I really enjoyed was the cliffhanger at the end to set up the next book in the series, but I still don’t think it was enough to keep me reading this series. There just wasn’t enough spark or something for me. I think if you are the type of reader who enjoys a story with lots of background and lots of tropes (cowboy, enemies to lovers, workplace romance, he falls first…) you will love this book.

Give me Cash Rivers or give me death!!! At first I struggled with our girl Mollie, but then just like Cash, I came around FAST. An entrepreneurial badass, our boot baby loves hard, is fiercely loyal, and has a big ole heart. I loved this crew, and I can’t wait to read about the rest of these cowboys and badass women!
