„Stowarzyszenie umarłych poetów” to absolutnie przepiękna książka o wszystkim, co najważniejsze: o przyjaźni, miłości, ambicjach, oczekiwaniom innych, mierzenie się z trudami codziennościami. Choć może nie brzmi - jest to powieść absolutnie wyjątkowa, która ma ogromne miejsce w moim sercu. Utożsamiam się z pragnieniem wolności Neila, z chęcią zostania zaakceptowanym Todda, z ochotą odkrycia samego siebie Charliego. Tak naprawdę każdy poeta ma w sobie cząstkę mnie i może dlatego książka ta jest dla mnie tak niezmiernie ważna, ale prawda jest taka, że większość osób może siebie zobaczyć w którymś z tych chłopców. Pan Keating z kolei jest nauczycielem, którego pragnę mieć, a jego lekcje były niezwykle cenne nie tylko dla uczniów akademii. Końcówka natomiast łamie mi serce. Nie jest istotne to, że wiem dokładnie co się stanie i jak się stanie - za każdym razem boli tak samo i watpię, że kiedyś przeczytam tą scenę nie dławiąca się własnymi łzami. Poezja, piękno przyjaźni, wyjątkowe mądrości i ogromna doza smutku i niesprawiedliwości - to jest właśnie to, co znajdziecie w „Stowarzyszeniu umarłych poetów”. Będę tą książkę polecać aż do samego końca, a nawet zza światów będę was nawiedzać, abyście przeczytali. Polecam z całego, całego serca <3

Ich hätte nicht gedacht, dass das Buch mich so inspiriert, aber auch gleichzeitig traurig macht. Mr. Keating ist ein hervorragender Lehrer mit exzentrischen Lehrmethoden, die allerdings die Schüler zum Mitarbeiten anregen. Sein Motto "Carpe Diem" scheint zunächst vielen zu gefallen, jedoch wird am Ende des Buches klar, dass der Egoismus von einigen Schülern letztendlich zu einem negativen Ende führt. Anstatt eine Gemeinschaft zu sein und zu ihren Fehlern zu stehen suchen sie sich ein Opfer aus und lassen es allein. Ihre gesellschaftliche Stellung ist ihnen letztendlich wichtiger. Irgendwie eine traurige Erkenntnis. Ich wünschte es gäbe noch eine Fortsetzung um meine weiteren Fragen zu klären.
