This was very cute and I didn’t expect that! The artwork was really good, and the story was great. The 2 main characters were endearing and I definitely can’t wait to see what happens next in the series.

Sunstone was such a wholesome read! I was thoroughly in love with Lisa (our MC & sub) by the end of her opening narration, & I was taken by the humor of this book immediately. It felt so real & human & awkward, & the yearning & love on the page were just immaculate. I thought the pacing for this first volume was good & I especially loved the sweet note it ended on. Ally is amazing, Alan seems fun & it's nice to see a sexual relationship between a man & a woman transition to friendship (so I hope he doesn't become an antagonist down the line...) I loved the making of notes at the end & the process the author went through in this story blossoming from some sexy drawings to a longer form story. I just... this was such a surprise & such a happy-making queer story.

Now THIS is how to write a drama series. Here we see relatable characters struggling with self-image and insecurities and communication in a way that doesn't feel contrived or forced. The art style is GORGEOUS. This series is sexy and funny and completely down-to-earth, which is pretty amazing given the...well, out-there subject matter!

Was looking for LGBTQIA+ recommendations on Storygraph and this came up, and I found it online and hot damn this is a neat story. Really love the art style and the characters feel so genuine and it's so fun and awkward and human. Very nice and very cute and/or sexy depending on the panel.

Sunstone is a fantastic book. I got this as part of a Humble Bundle a while back and procrastinated reading it. It wasn't anything that jumped to the top of the list of books that I wanted to read. That might be in part because of the sexual overtones. This book is definitely intended for mature readers, but I feel like it was done tastefully.

This is the story of two women. They meet online and quickly become friends. Their shared interest in certain sexual activities eventually leads to them meeting, which screws with their heads and their hearts a little bit. I like the way their relationship develops. It felt natural. I think the thing that brought them together could have been any sort of hobby, but Sejic's approach pushes them into the deep end to dig into some interesting themes. There are elements of this story that can make people pretty uncomfortable. That is part of what makes it great.

Adorable, endearing romance that happens to be based in world of BDSM. Nerdy, flirty and affirming.
