This was a really fun read. I liked the plot, I liked the characters and I liked how easy it was (despite some of the darker parts). I especially loved Willa - she was fun, she had some depth and she was just a pleasure to read about. Ryder was lovely to read about too, although not as much as Willa.

If I’m quite honest, I think things went a tad off track sometimes. Some of the conflicts felt easily solvable whereas others I thought needed some more grovelling. Not to mention how often it felt like the other characters were making Willa out to be a bad guy when she was not the (only) one at fault.

Now to mention some arseholes. Mac aka. Aiden aka. The Professor aka. The Prick. Dude needed a reality check. He really got on my tits. Mr “ooo I’m an arsehole and I’m seeing a struggling student. My solution? Send her towards a deaf guy she doesn’t know is deaf and make her seem and feel like a bad person for it. Ugh. I also wasn’t a big fan of Mama Sutter. I liked her at first but then she got weirdly aggressive with Ryder, and I know she was going through shit of her own, but I don’t think she thought about her daughters feelings enough. Oh well, that’s just my take.

Overall, I had a really good time with this book. It had all your classic enemies-to-lovers biz going on. While I wish they had gotten down and dirty soon (both in the physical and emotional sense) I can’t really fault it.

So cute and so funny.
The meddling brother-in-law fiancé kinda bugged me & how Willa talked to him was just wrong. So it got off on a weird foot for me but it turned itself around.
I liked both Willa and Ryder. They had their communication problems  - both completely different problems - but they helped each other gain the confidence to face their own problems head on. I liked it. Not everything was perfect but it felt very raw and true.
