All I'm going to say is that I was right, and I freaking love this series. Characters shall be missed
So at the end of the last book I was sad. I had never loved this series, and Vincent dying didn't absolutely kill me. But I felt totally bad for Kate. And because I knew her boyfriend had just died, I was worried she would become Bella in the second Twilight. Mopy, lifeless, and an utterly boring narrator. I want to go give her a high five for allowing herself one day of grief. ONLY ONE DAY! After her one day she actually gets up and does something. She goes headfirst into looking for a cure for Vincent. BECAUSE SHE KNOWS THAT THINGS DON'T HAPPEN IF YOU DON'T TRY! A lesson many many female characters need to learn when their love dies. *cough cough* Bella *cough cough*
As for the plot, we all saw it coming. It had been obvious since the first book that Kate Other than that, there was no major plot twists, but it was interesting enough for me to keep reading. The ending was super sweet, but I seriously wish she had given us more. Like seriously, the last sentence does not sum up the book at all! It's super cheesy, like she actually didn't put any thought into it at all.
I think this book delivers what it promises without the cherries on top. The author could have been deeper and less direct, but all in all, a pretty good way to end a pretty good series.

was indeed the Champion, and was totally a Revenant. I mean seriously, the prophecy was way too easy for them to decipher. How the hell did they miss it?!I think this book delivers what it promises without the cherries on top. I’ve enjoyed the Revenants series by Amy Plum. It may not be the best written series, but I find it incredibly engaging, and that’s all that matters! I thought If I Should Die was a fantastic conclusion. I loved the characters of Kate and Vincent and really enjoyed finishing their story.
I don’t want to say too much, it being the final book of the series. One thing that stands out to me though is that out of all of the characters in this series, Kate has grown the most. She’s an incredibly strong character compared to the girl that was introduced to readers at the beginning. She may be afraid of what’s going on in her life, but she fights it. As for Vincent, I’m pretty sure he’s going to be the perfect book boyfriend for many! He’s perfectly supportive of Kate, but at the same time doesn’t want to put her in any danger. I loved Kate and Vincent’s relationship. It wasn’t the typical angst driven love triangle story. That’s really refreshing. Within this series there are some fantastic secondary characters!
Overall, I would recommend the series. As I mentioned, the writing isn’t mindblowing, but it’s fun and engaging. The paranormal element is quite different to others and that, to me, is what sets it aside from others of its like.

Wow.. It seems impossible that this book is better than the first one, but I think it is. This final installment brought a tear to my eye, made my heart skip a beat or two and was so intense and amazing. I wish the last chapter had been longer because I didn't want it to end but it's really beautiful and moving.
Thanks Marvin for having given me the chance to read If I Should Die now... Waiting til May would have been pretty hard!

I've been waiting for this book since the second I finished the 2nd part and now that I've read it, I'm extremely disappointed.
What started out as a unique paranormal romance ended up in a cliche where almost every twist and turn was expected.
The book wasn't bad. There were heart crushing moments mixed with twirls of sweetness and a final battle that was slightly satisfying.
I can't honestly say what I wanted from this book but right now I'm frustrated and sad. Really sad. Most of all, I really wish the book had an epilogue. It would have made everything soo much more better.

If I Should Die is the third and final book in the Revenants series and oh boy, did I love this book. I was expecting it to be good because final books usually are, and the way the second book ended made me hold my breath and hope that what happened wasn't true.
I am going to try and make this review spoiler free, but again, because this is the last book, I might spoil the other two books without meaning to, so you have been warned!
Vincent. What can I say about his character, he is one of my favorite book boyfriends of all time, he is so sweet and caring and genuinely wants to keep Kate safe and out of harms way, even after what happened to him in the last book. And what I think I liked about Vincent the most was that because of his absence for the beginning of the novel it gave Kate a chance to shine as a strong female character that takes charge. And that was great to see. In this book Kate developed into such a great heroine that I was sad to see her go (since this is the last books).
This book was by far my favorite in the series because there was so much action, and so much was revealed that I think my mouth was open in shock the whole time. But also because of the ending. It is not the ending that the characters expected but it made sense to me, and I loved it. Amazing end t an amazing series.

Quick Reflections:
TOTALLY NAILED that Vincent would find a new body. Just didn't think they would literally make a new body... out of clay... soaked in Jules blood... set on fire...
NAILED that she would be the Champion.
So... what was with the lame ending? It was sort of flat.
Speaking of flat... I felt that the flow was off. Like, there was always SO MUCH going on, so many "HOLYCRAP,THISISSOSERIOUSWHATAREWEGOINGTODO!?!" moments one after another, and they weren't ever spaced out. Since there was so much going on, you weren't even sure where the climax was-- there might have been a lot of serious-like situations going, but since there weren't any dips and valleys in storyline, it really plateued. And then it just stopped. I was disappointed.
So was it just me, or did it seem like there was some setting-up-for-spin-off-series going on? Or was that just the story not tying up?
Oh, and the cover was a fail. I mean, who picked that color? ...Yeah. Just fail.
(Every time I saw the title, I got that song stuck in my head, the "How am I supposed to breathe without air?" one. You know, "If I should die before I wake, it's cause you took my breath away..." I'm so sick of it, it's starting to make me laugh now.)

So schön verfasst, wie die letzten beiden Bände, allerdings sind für mich am Ende zu viele Fragen offen geblieben.
Really? A year. I'm dying not knowing if Vincent is alive... He has to be alive. But am I crazy for liking Jules too? I think that he is good with Kate. This is driving me insane. Someone better move this publication date up before I lose my mind. Completely. Why why why why why why?!?
