Thought provoking read about outsiders and those who are different and about how human emotion impacts our experiences and how our experiences impact our paths in life. Easy to read due to very short chapters.
A bit graphic in places but it made sense with the storyline.

sometimes all you need is friendship that's also a little fruity.

What a beautiful book about the growth of Yungjae and his relationships with the people around him. His obvious feelings for people despite being told he’s unable to. It’s written so beautifully, and is such a tender exploration of love, pain and sacrifice and growth in children. Would recommend this to everyone. You fly through it it is so quick.

Cute book about a boy with the most petite amygdala you've ever seen. This was a fun read and a great piece of Asian literature in that it was like so depressing at every turn, at least in the beginning. I thought the vibe of it was great. I was just unsatisfied with the way the book resolved. Some moments of hope were cute but I don't like that we solved his neurological abnormality with friendship.
Weird that I was simultaneously reading 2 different books about someone pretending to be another person's son in a hospital but that's how it is sometimes.
