I really did not expect/see all that happening but dang was it good. The ending was drawn out and long it felt like an epilogue. But overall I really enjoyed this trilogy
Reading this dark romance and RH trilogy helped me avoid a reading slump. I cringed the whole way there but was also having a good time. The world of Forsyth is terrible but addictive. I hate absolutely every single man that had a storyline, BUT I was rooting for them, too. I discovered from this book that I can enjoy a REALLY dark romance while also hating it a lot. I must admit I did cry because the ending was cute and happy.

I really loved the end of the Lord's. The relationship between these 4 is heart wrenching and I'm thoroughly jealous. There's possessiveness, protection, kink, steamy scenes and love. I definitely didn't expect to find out who Ted was and it was an excellent twist! I plan on buying these books in paperback so I can highlight my favorite parts

Although not the end of the series, it is the conclusion of Story's and the Lords' trilogy. I enjoyed this novel. I really didn't suspect TED until this book.
Overall, I enjoyed this trilogy. It was dark, I think, with the second book the most of all. I'm going to wait and start the next book when the Dukes story arc is complete.

Re-read 27/02/24: I tried to stay away from this series as much as I could. Spoiler alert...I couldn't.
Re-read 08/12/23: Story' pregnancy = Me GOBBLE GOBBLE GOBBLE
Re-read 14/11/23: These dudes are fucking infuriating. God knows I wouldn't have put up with their shit as much as Story did. I'd rather take my chances with my stalker lol. But I still love them. So what does that say about me? (prolly that i'm fucked in the head lmao

While this book is a great conclusion to the trilogy, it honestly feels like a completely separate storyline from the first two, as it should. Story leaves at the end of book 2 and comes back, and it’s under the conditions of openness and honesty and less controlling and like NONE of the contract. We finally get more group spicy scenes (YES) and I’m so so so so glad her pregnancy doesn’t happen until towards the very very end. I really thought surprise baby was going to happen the first time the author talked about her cramps and how Tristian was caring for her on her period.
The SHOCK of who Ted was! Half one person, half another?! Loved that. It was a great reveal that didn’t feel forced or like a total stretch. Always knew the lawyer was going to be a dirty lackey, but not the mastermind.

I'm going with 4 stars for the story, 11/5 stars for the amazing spice.
What a payoff for the Story/Killian/Tristian/Rath trilogy. (I know there are more RofFU books coming, but not for these characters.) This was my favorite book of the series BY FAR. The whole truth is that although I read a lot of it I am not always a dark romance fan, so this book's shift away from the uncomfy abuse scenes of the prior books to just absolute smut and doting men was just the change I needed.
The smut in this book is top tier for any reverse harem fan! One on one scenes, of course, but the authors gift us with multiple spicy hot threesome and foursome scenes. There are no true crossed swords, but the men DO interact and express appreciation for each other in the group scenes, and there's no shyness when it comes to, uh, mixing fluids.
Each of the characters got their own unique development and character arcs. Killian's entire redemption arc is basically that he learns to go down on his woman and appreciate having sex with her when she's actually awake, but hey, we'll take what we can get.
Two critiques: listen to the other reviews, this book is LONG. Action packed, but long. The last four or five chapters are basically the trope, and while I appreciate that we got one last POV from each character as their lives shifted to the next phase, it also probably could have been summed up in a couple pages. Also, Story wins $50k and doesn't pay Rath back for the $12k he spent to save her??? And they're gazillionaires but nobody at any point just goes ahead and buys this man his dream piano?!?! I'm heartbroken.
