This book series has effectively made me lose my mind ever since I randomly decided to read the first one and it has definitely become one of my favourite stories of all time. I have never read anything else like it.

Even though the plot was solid throughout all the books what I really love most was the characters. I am literally obsessed with them and the character development that occurred during the series was amazing.

In this book, the relationships between Story and the boys changed drastically but it was so authentic and well done. I loved how each of the boys had a unique relationship with Story that went at its own pace with so many important and emotional moments occurring between each of them individually but also as a group which shaped their relationships.

There was also so much more understanding and acceptance of each other in this book between Story and the boys. I loved the way the boys just adored Story and vice versa, my heart was literally swooning so much because of how protective and caring they each were in their own way.
Story is also one of my favourite heroines of all time. Even though this series has such crazy situations I felt as if all of her thoughts and decisions were relatable. But what I really love most is how strong she is. I loved that she was manipulative and vengeful and didn’t just role over for the boys and how she made them grovel, but I also loved how caring and possessive she was towards them during this book.

The heroes in this series are some of my favourites of all time and I literally can’t choose a favourite. All of them were so important to the series and are so unique and well written to the point that you could easily tell whose POV it was because their voices are so distinguishable. I find it crazy how much I hated them at the beginning to how much I love them now which goes to show how much development they each went through. In this book especially you discover more about the boys as their layers are peeled back and you learn more about their characters which makes you love them even more.

Killian was such an amazing character, and he developed so much. He went from only being hostile and aggressive to caring and intimate towards Story whilst still remaining his lovable psycho self. I loved just how obsessed and protective he was with Story and how it was almost like he wanted to just engulf her. I also loved Dimitri so much. I always found him to be so dark and mysterious but he was always a source of comfort which was prevalent in this book. He was just so gosh darn sweet. I also love Tristian so much and how doting and loving he was over Story. I liked how he could be filthy one minute to obsessing over Story eating healthy food the next minute.

The relationship between the boys was also just beautiful. I loved that they had such a close brotherhood and accepted each other completely and had so much loyalty and love for each other.

Ms. Crane was also such a blessing in this series. Her mouth is literally the filthiest mouth I have ever read about and she was funny as shit.

The smut in this book was next level. Like my god it was written so well. I loved how the boys had different kinks with Story and how even the way they had sex was distinguishable. I loved the individual scenes Story had with the guys as well as the group scenes which were so fucking hot like my god. Its so well written I was literally melting.

I loved the ending so much and how we basically got a long epilogue. It was so fucking cute and sweet and exactly what they deserve.

I am genuinely so sad this series is over but I am so excited and nervous to follow the Dukes. I already have high expectations because of how much of a masterpiece this trilogy was but I completely trust the authors. The little snippet of the next book has me literally frothing at the mouth, the Dukes are literally torturing our poor heroine already lol.

4.5-5 stars
Now this is how you write a book where the guys redeem themselves. This is the first RH series where the guys are actually 3D characters with very distinct personalities, interests, flaws, behavior, etc. and not cookie cutter versions of stereotypical RH guys.
It did drag a bit but it all was still necessary. The revealing of the mystery and everything was okay but a bit disappointing.
I’m glad it’ll be awhile til the next Gen of royals because I need a break from the darkness but also the smut, I had to skim through some scenes in this one.

Okay.... so I went into this series blind. At first I was taken back by the "step brother/sister" thing, but the first two book did a great job not using it as much through out the book. This book however, used it every other page and it was full on "big brother/little sister" during the smut scenes. Not a fan of this... ANYWAY
The plot was great! The last book does a great job including a lot more context about the boys and their lives as well as other characters.

-the spice starts early in the trilogy while the relationship takes much longer to build, just how I like it

Let me start by saying there are definitely triggers in this trilogy that you need to pay attention to before deciding to read this story. There's mental and physical abuse, dubcon, noncon, murders, etc.

If you're a lover a dark romance, you're going to love these men. I have to say that this author did a good job of somehow keeping me on the edge between loving and hating them. Call me crazy I guess, but I loved them more than I hated them. They could be cruel, no doubt about it, but Jesus when they decided they actually cared for her, it was a sight to behold. And the epilogues, so freaking sweet, I'm totally here for those epilogues!!

Because this is a dark romance with triggers, I loved that the authors spent so much time on character development and relationship building. Because of the types of men these guys are and what they did to Story, I don't think I would have enjoyed it as much if they all started falling in love early on, but the authors didn't do that. We definitely got to see the slow build of feelings. And we got to watch these damaged men try to understand/struggle with those feelings as well. And I loved it. The stalker plot, and the royalty plot, honestly, it was interesting, but I could take it or leave it. I just want more of our characters lol

I actually really enjoyed our heroine, I didn't feel like she was a pushover. She knew when to fight back and she knew when to keep her mouth closed to play it smart. And she got some revenge on the guys throughout the trilogy. I'd say she was a pretty strong character.

Now, while I loved our characters, I could give this trilogy 5 stars for the spice alone!! Holyyyy crap yall, I haven't read a book that had me squirming in my seat for a while now, and this didn't disappoint. My favorite scenes in RH books are, of course, the sharing scenes, and by God these two authors know how to write a group scene!!!! Holy fuck, I need them to write a book that is strictly dedicated to nothing but group scenes because I would purchase it. Top notch writing in those scenes, for sure!

There were quite a few editing errors but I was able to overlook them.

Pleasantly surprising ending!

Story and her Lords were so fun to read about. Fully invested in their relationship and their lives. I was not prepared for the SHOCKING reveal. I didn’t see it coming! I’m glad it all worked out the way it did. Now that it’s over, I don’t think I have a favorite. I love each Lord for the differences they bring to the table for Story. So glad she got her fairytale HEA.
