Story had a lot of potential but was in need of a good editor.
I like a sports romance that focuses on sports but this one was a little short on that end. Michael is an ex hockey player, he is an intern for the Coach but doesn’t really have any action in the rink or even with coaching. He is just there, observing and talks what he would do twith certain players but he does not have any power to actually coach.
Otherwise, this book was good.
It’s kind of forbidden because Michael’s boss – team’s Coach – is Naomi’s father. The father that she doesn’t really have a relationship with but works for him anyway hoping this will change.
I liked Michael’s and Naomi’s relationship develop, the steamy scenes were really hot. However, I wish she would talk to her sister sooner and confront her father too. His excuse why he turned every dinner and other appointment down was really lame and I would love to see their relationship grow because this all happened at the very end of the book. So in epologue we’re just told what was happening between father and daughter but it was really missing in the story, to be honest.
All in all, 3.5 to 4 stars.
