I really enjoyed this book, very well written and did not expect the twists and turns.

This is a psychological thriller , and it is awesome!
The plot is well thought out and kept me interested throughout.
This creeped me the fuck out, let me tell you. It’s eerie, gripping and so clever.
The characters are well developed, and the twist at the end was one that I didn’t see coming. The whole thing is well paced.
I will say that part of the ending was a little anti-climatic, I was expecting more justice I think. It definitely didn’t spoil the book as a whole, though!

This was a great psychological thriller, great little page turner. Just when you think you've figured out the story, the author throws something else at you and gets you rethinking your thoughts all over again. Great concept and plot, but all I can say is I'm glad I don't have kids reading this, id be paranoid 😂!
Following Georgina, a mum who's working and studying, a husband with secrets up his sleeve and a father with a secret past. It's no wonder Georgina's mind went wandering when her son mentioned his 'new granny'.
I loved that this book tapped into creepy and mysterious with twists on sanity and mental health. I rolled my eyes a few times at Georgina as I was reading along, especially with the neighbour in his back garden. That one seemed obvious to me, which at times got me wondering if Georgina was in fact loosing her mind, but no she was smarter than she seemed.
I did find some parts are slightly repetitive and shall we say the inner dialogue specifically. I eventually found myself skipping some of those parts at a certain part. However, it is a quick and easy read packed with lost of twists and turns and I did thoroughly enjoy it.

I loved the tension building and dark undertones of this novel which built suspense and mystery very well, but I felt that the ending fell quite flat for me. Emma seemed to be quite a pointless character, no offence. And Cody really just got on my nerves, his mum was so lovely so why wasn’t he just honest and nothing awful would’ve happened. I really liked the Irish historical culture that was used within the book though and Rachel Ryan’s use of metaphors was beautiful.
