Eisenhorn is a real bastard.

The rest of the trilogy was a mixed bag, but it all paid off in this book. Seeing Eisenhorn do everything he was condemning in other books in the name of the greater good, and it all coming back to bite him in the face was fantastic. Kinda wish he got a much more grim and depressing ending but in usual fashion, Dan Abnett completely rushes the after spending far too much time writing fight scenes.

Very good for a tie-in

A re-read! Still enjoy the characters, especially with the voices provides by Toby Longworth as audio book narrator. However this series conclusion wasn't as good as my memory of it. The pacing seems disjointed with a rushed ending. Still love Eisenhorn though and his deeply flawed ways!

Fantastic conclusion to a good series and definitely the best book of the entire trilogy. You have to know nothing about Warhammer 40k to enjoy these stories, and that's all down to Dan Abnett's incredible writing.
